Due to growth, we are looking for full time Travel consultants to join our team based in Bay of Plenty region.
The position is full-time permanent with a minimum of 30 hrs per week whichincludes weekend work. Must be available for weekend work. The pay rate will be between $25 $30 per hour depending on the experience you have.
The successful applicant will be someone who is enthusiastic about work, who is looking for job security, and who shares our passion for travel industry and delivering excellent customer service.
As a minimum you will have:
- A NZ level 3 certificate in any area or an overseas equivalent.
- One years relevant experience will be preferred.
- A certificate from Amadeus for at least Basic Functionality OR at least one year proven Amadeus experience (as we work on Amadeus GDS system).
Tasks Include:
- Research and workout on query according to clients specifications and preferences
- Explore and study different travel destination options based on clients requirements
- Plan and organise travels including suggesting itineraries
- Book Flight tickets, reserve accommodationsand organise Transportation.
- Collects deposits and balances
- Inform clients and provide useful travel information
- Attend urgent enquiries outside of work hours via business phone provided
- Offer and promote different services and offerings.
- Keep learning about latest industry trends.
- Build and maintain good relationships with clients.
You should have-
- Passion about travel and tourism.
- Excellent knowledge of latest tourism trends.
- Knowledge of different languages is an advantage.
- Good sales and presentation skills.
- Customer oriented mindset.
- Critical thinker and problem solver.
- Good organisational and Time management skills.
- Good understanding and knowledge of airlines routing.
- Team Player.
